Kittie Klaw
Co-founder and Queen of The Ministry of Burlesque, Kittie Klaw is self described “model of impropriety and a muse of mirth”. A writer, essayist and highly skilled performer, she has been lauded one of the “major forces” of the UK burlesque renaissance and a keen scholar of the art form’s history within our culture. Her vast knowledge of Burlesque has led her to be a talking head on the subject for many television shows including writing and presenting profile on Burlesque legend Eliza Vestris for BBC Radio 4 in March 2009.
The Decadent Gent spoke to Kittie in last year where they discussed Burlesque’s history within British culture and her experiences as a performer in this highly fascinating episode of Tassel Time…
